Policy

Responsible Use

TEFL Screen is designed to help institutions make more consistent screening decisions, not to replace human judgment or justify unfair treatment.

1. Authorized Submissions Only

Use TEFL Screen only for videos that you are authorized to evaluate and share. Do not upload content obtained without permission or in violation of employment, privacy, platform, or confidentiality rules.

2. Candidate Notice and Consent

Before submitting a candidate video, make sure your process satisfies any notice, consent, or disclosure requirements that apply to your organization or jurisdiction.

3. Fair and Lawful Hiring Use

You are responsible for how the report is used in your hiring process. TEFL Screen should not be used to support unlawful discrimination, harassment, or exclusion based on protected characteristics.

Likely English variety output is an informational inference about speech patterns. It is not a statement of nationality, ethnicity, race, or identity and should not be treated that way.

4. Human Oversight Is Required

A TEFL Screen report should be reviewed alongside lesson quality, teaching judgment, references, classroom fit, and other human-led evaluation steps.

  • Do not make irreversible hiring decisions from the report alone.
  • Review borderline or high-impact decisions manually.
  • Document your own hiring criteria in addition to the report.

5. Platform Integrity

Do not attempt to disrupt, probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the service. Do not submit malware, misleading payment claims, or abusive content through support channels.

6. Feedback and Concerns

If you believe a report contains a serious issue, or if you have concerns about misuse, contact support@teflscreen.com with the reference ID and a short explanation.
