Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to TEFL Screen and the use of its evaluation reports, video-upload tools, and manual fulfillment workflow.

1. Scope and Eligibility

TEFL Screen provides AI-assisted screening reports for ESL teacher application videos. The service is intended for schools, institutes, recruiting teams, and similar organizations evaluating teacher candidates.

By using the service, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and are authorized to act for yourself or the organization submitting the evaluation request.

2. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit, including the email address used for report delivery and any video link you provide.

  • Submit only content you are legally permitted to share.
  • Obtain any candidate notice, permission, or consent required by applicable law or internal policy before upload.
  • Use the report as one input in a broader hiring process that includes human review.

3. Upload Rights and Candidate Consent

You retain ownership of the materials you submit. By uploading a video or providing a video URL, you grant TEFL Screen a limited license to store, process, analyze, and reproduce that material as needed to operate the service, generate reports, investigate misuse, and provide support.

You represent that the uploaded content does not infringe third-party rights and that the relevant candidate has been informed of, or has consented to, the evaluation workflow when required.

4. Payment, Delivery, and Refunds

TEFL Screen currently uses an offline payment workflow. A preview may be shown before payment, and the full report is released after payment confirmation.

After TEFL Screen confirms payment, the full report will be sent within 24 hours to the email address associated with the request.

No refund is available once the report has been sent out. If payment is confirmed but the report cannot be delivered due to a service-side failure, TEFL Screen may choose to reissue the report or provide another remedy at its discretion.

5. Nature of the Reports

Reports are generated through AI-assisted analysis and may include scoring, written observations, likely English variety inferences, and overall recommendations.

These outputs are provided for decision support only. They are not legal advice, employment advice, or a guarantee of teaching performance, and they should not be the sole basis for hiring, rejection, or disciplinary action.

6. Service Changes and Availability

TEFL Screen may update its models, criteria, workflow, pricing, and supported input methods over time. Availability may be interrupted for maintenance, upgrades, provider issues, or security events.

7. Acceptable Use and Suspension

You may not use TEFL Screen to upload unlawful material, interfere with the service, submit malicious content, or conduct unauthorized scraping or reverse engineering.

TEFL Screen may suspend or refuse service where misuse, payment abuse, fraud, or legal risk is reasonably suspected.

8. Intellectual Property

TEFL Screen retains all rights in the platform, workflow, software, designs, and site content other than material owned by users or third parties.

You may use delivered reports internally for candidate evaluation and related business records, but you may not resell the service or represent the reports as your own product.

9. Disclaimers and Liability Limits

TEFL Screen is provided on an as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TEFL Screen disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TEFL Screen will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or hiring decisions made in reliance on a report. Any direct liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific evaluation giving rise to the claim.

10. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

To the extent a dispute is brought in court, each party agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in California, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

11. Contact and Updates

TEFL Screen may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when posted unless a later date is stated.

Questions about these Terms can be sent to support@teflscreen.com.
